Use & Care

To Store: Roll Gxm mat with the top side facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing.

To Break In: The grip of the Gxm mat improves with use. The best way to break in your mat is practice, practice, practice. If you find yourself slipping initially, use one of our performance yoga towels on the surface of the mat. Lightly spray towel to aid grip.

To Clean: To keep your mat clean and smelling fresh, use our exercise mat wash & refresh. To disinfect, use our disinfecting mat cleaner. Note: other cleaning solutions are not tested or recommended.

I’ve been very pleased with my Gxmmat Fitness Mat and would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a quality home workout surface. One of the first things I noticed was the overall feel of the material. It feels premium, durable, and well-made right out of the box. While I haven’t put it through years of heavy abuse, everything about its construction gives me the impression that it is built to last. A feature I particularly appreciate is how easy it is to clean. The mat has a textured surface with small bumps that might seem like they would trap dirt or make maintenance difficult, but that has not been my experience. Wiping it down after workouts is simple, and it continues to look great with minimal effort. The grip is another standout quality. Whether performing bodyweight exercises, stretching, or using equipment, the mat provides excellent traction and stability. 1. Customer service/shipping: I received a prompt reply to my emailed question about the mat’s weight (I will have to move the mat daily). Immediately placed my order and delivery was unbelievably fast. Packaging was excellent — GXMMAT obviously values both their product and their customer’s satisfaction. 2. Mat: Exceeded my expectations. It is heavy-duty, grippy, and cushioned. Perfect surface for my mix of yoga, kettlebells, heavy clubs, plyo box, and — most importantly — animal flow. That last activity just did not work with regular yoga mats. I was using them in tandem, but they were always shifting out of place during side kicks, front kicks, crawls, etc. — plus, the area they covered was just too confining. The 7’x5’ GXMMAT fits perfectly over our braided rug, offers an expanded workout space, does not shift, is more cushioned, and still rolls up to tuck behind the stationary bike. My wife stretches every day and had a nice somewhat large traditional floor mat, but I thought she would like a much larger one that would allow for more space to move. I thought that something that she was using every day should be better than what she was currently had. The 5x7 mat is large and seems to turn a section of the bedroom floor into a decent size gym floor. It appears to be good quality ( only have it for 2 weeks) so far and she really likes it a lot and is glad that I found it

YAAASSSSSS! This thing is a game-changer! It's so huge, I'm pretty sure I could lay down and take a nap on it (not that I would ever do that, wink wink). And let me tell you, this mat has got some serious grip - it doesn't slip, even when I'm sweating like a pig and my workout is more like slipn'slide. It's like a little slice of heaven for my feet, knees, and everything in between. Not only does this mat make my workouts more comfortable, it also makes me feel like a real fitness queen. Excellent alternative to puzzle piece type gym flooring. Bought this for my son's new apartment to go under a weight bench and to use for yoga, etc. I like it better than the thicker puzzle pieces flooring because this won't slip around and there are no seams to come apart. This was well packaged (came with 3 straps and a bag so you can store it) and looked great out of the box. No weird smell and just a slight curl on the end which will go away quickly if weighted down for a bit. Really nice choice for a dedicated workout area!

We were looking for a very specific gym mat. Most gym mats at a larger size have a standard of 7mm thickness. But we were looking for something thicker than that for when we have to do floor exercises and need to be on our knees. Our choices were very limited. We were lucky to find this mat that was a tad thicker but also relatively large so that we could fit our home gym on it and have enough room to move without stepping off the mat. I've been happy with it. It's very durable as we move a bench around the mat repeatedly and I like that it doesn't slide about and has some cushion when you stand on it.

I wanted an exercise mat to do yoga and other workouts at home. I was surprised to find that we use this mat for so much more. We placed it over carpeting in our home office and, in addition to exercise, my family uses this mat for everything from assembling furniture so that it has a place to lay where it won't scratch to arts and crafts. The squishy micro-foam material feels great underfoot. The design provides great traction so that I can work out in bare or socked feet. Standing and sitting on this allows a nice, shock absorbing surface for my body. The footprint is generous enough for my young son and I to work out side by side or our entire family to sit on while working on a project. The mat is slightly on the thin side compared to other mats I've used which is why I rated it 4/5. I has not torn or scratched the surface at all with hard use, however. A really nice exercise mat and more!
